At Ann Edwards Primary, we believe that learning basic first aid skills are an essential part of our curriculum.  Each year, we have a dedicated ‘First Aid Champions’ week, where we allocate focussed teaching time to learning key first aid skills across each Key Stage.  This starts as simply as knowing how to dial 999 in EYFS progressing up to dealing with more serious incidents of bleeding or even having to give CPR.  We also use this week to focus on our own health and how we can keep ourselves healthy by attending skipping workshops organised through Skip Hop as well as raising money to support the West Midlands Air Ambulance charity.
