At Ann Edwards Primary School we are committed to ensuring all pupils have access to a wide range of sports.

We believe that all children should have access to quality sports, be outside as much as possible and be encouraged to try new activities. We are fortunate enough to have fantastic school grounds, excellent local network links, and qualified staff to support this.  Our PE leads and the whole school team are constantly looking for opportunities for our children. Our sports commitment is also embedded through a wide range of after school club opportunities and residential visits.

We are currently working in partnership with Swindon Town Community Foundation who work closely with pupils and staff to improve our sport provision. Children partake in a variety of sporting activities within school with Swindon Town Community.

Our thanks to all adults who support us and to our children for their continued ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to try new things!

Ann Edwards FC at Swindon Town vs Crewe Alexandra – Saturday 19th November 2022

Thanks to the partnership we have with Swindon Town Community Foundation, some of our children had the opportunity to join in a mini-tournament at Swindon Town’s home ground before their match against Crewe Alexandra. They all put in so much effort and a fantastic time was had by all. After the tournament the children took part in flag bearing on the pitch with the players and coaches. We are really grateful to Swindon Town for giving this opportunity to the children.
