Educational visits are a crucial element of your child’s learning throughout their school life at Ann Edwards. We have a planned programme of visits to places of interest to enrich the school curriculum.
In addition children in Years 4 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in residential visits to :- Braeside Education Centre in Devizes, Wiltshire and PGL Outdoor Educational Activity Centre in North Devon. A major part of the cost of these activities, which also includes swimming, is met by voluntary contributions from the parents.
Every year we offer our Year 6 children the experience of 5 days away on a residential trip. The trip allows the children to gain independence away from home and confidence. As part of the trip the children will participate in a variety of experiences including surfing, zip wire and beach games.
This year we are visiting PGL in North Devon. The centre is called Beam House and is run by PGL. The centre is based near the beach and surrounded by an adventure playground and fields. The trip will take place from Monday 7th June to Friday 11th June 2021.
We encourage all the children to attend the trip – if you or your child have any worries about the residential please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Each year we offer all of our Year 4 pupils an opportunity to take part in a residential experience at Braeside, Devizes. The trip provides an excellent opportunity for children to take part in a variety of activities and learn about independence. This year the trip will be going ahead from Wednesday 21st April to Friday 23rd April.
The school would like every child to have the opportunity to go on the trip and we will attempt to overcome any payment problems to enable this to happen. If you have real difficulty with payment, please let the school office know as soon as possible – all conversations are treated in the strictest confidence.
