Educational visits are a crucial element of your child’s learning throughout their school life at Ann Edwards. We have a planned programme of visits to places of interest to enrich the school curriculum.

In addition children in Years 4 and 6 have the opportunity to participate in residential visits to :-  Braeside Education Centre in Devizes, Wiltshire and PGL Outdoor Educational Activity Centre in  North Devon. A major part of the cost of these activities, which also includes swimming, is met by voluntary contributions from the parents.

PGL 2021

Every year we offer our Year 6 children the experience of 5 days away on a residential trip. The trip allows the children to gain independence away from home and confidence.  As part of the trip the children will participate in a variety of experiences including surfing, zip wire and beach games.

This year we visited PGL Beam House in North Devon in September. The children really enjoyed their trip and were blessed with sunshine throughout the week.

Braeside 2022

Each year we offer all of our Year 4 pupils an opportunity to take part in a residential experience at Braeside, Devizes.  The trip provides an excellent opportunity for children to take part in a variety of activities and learn about independence. This year the trip will be going ahead from Wednesday 4th May to Friday 6th May 2022.

The school would like every child to have the opportunity to go on the trip and we will attempt to overcome any payment problems to enable this to happen.  If you have real difficulty with payment, please let the school office know as soon as possible – all conversations are treated in the strictest confidence.
